Wikia Search, just another search engine?
Wikia Search has gone live today (alpha). Wikia Search is another brain child of Wikipedia creator, Jimmy Wales. I must say, I am not too impressed. Doing a quick google search, it doesn’t seem like many others are either! I don’t see much more than a regular search engine. All the hype about this new search site was that it was user driven! This site rocks, this site is meh, etc.. Oh well, I guess we will have to see how it goes, but until I read anything in the future about how great it is, I doubt I will be using it much if at all. Oh, and it just looks too damn bubbly for me!
As far as I can tell, no one on this earth can figure out what is supposed to be special about wikia search or why we should care. Talk about a shitty launch.

Well, I hate to totally bash wikia. It is what it is, hopefully it is just a slow start and there will be alot better to come in the future!
